Configuring a connection for the "SECURE" wireless
network
Note:
If your computer is joined to the DWU domain, you DO NOT need to complete this procedure. This configuration is provided automatically through the network.
Requirements:
Windows XP SP2 or later
802.11g wireless network card Windows configuration of your wireless network card (if you see the following screen in step 3, Click HERE to configure Windows to control your wireless network settings.)

1. Check to see what network you
are connected to by pointing your mouse cursor at the wireless
icon (it looks like a monitor with waves coming out of it) in
your taskbar (near the clock). If you are connected to
"SECURE," there is no need to change. If you are connected to
"nebula" or "Wireless," continue to step 2.

2. Double-click on the wireless icon in the taskbar. It
will bring up the "Wireless Network Connection Status" window.

3. Click "View Wireless Networks" to bring up the
"Wireless Network Connection" window.

4. Click on "Change advanced settings" to bring up the "Wireless Network Connection Properties" window.

5. Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab.

6. Click "Add..."

7. Type "SECURE" (all caps) in the "Network Name (SSID)" field.
8. Change "Network Authentication" to "WPA"
9. Change "Data encryption" to "TKIP"
10. Click on the "Authentication" tab.

11. Change the "EAP Type" to "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
12. Uncheck the box next to "Authenticate as computer when... "
13. Click the "Properties" button

14. Check the box marked "Enable Fast Reconnect"
15. Click the "Configure" button

16. Uncheck the box next to "Automatically use my Windows logon... "
17. Click "OK" on all 3 open windows (you should be back to the window below)
18. Verify that "SECURE" has been added and is at the top of the list (if not, click to highlight it and click "Move up"

19. Click "OK"

20. Click within this bubble notification to enter your login information

21. Type in your DWU username in the "User name" field
22. Type in your DWU password in the "Password" field
23. Type in "DWU" in the "Logon domain" field
24. Click "OK"

25. You should see this bubble notification. If not, repeat the procedure and check that all settings are correct.
