She grew up and attended school in Forestburg, then attended and graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University. Her hobbies include reading and hanging out with her husband, Mike, and children Andrea, Philip and Alison.

Carol Lazenby is the business operations accountant for Dakota Wesleyan University. People refer to her as “the OTHER Carol”.

Carol has a Bachelor of Business degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. She has recently moved to Mitchell from Spirit Lake, Iowa (Okoboji) with husband Dave and daughters Katy and Sarah.

“I feel that I have the best job on campus – I get to meet each and every student and their parents to assist them in reaching their educational goal. My job is to help students and/or their parents figure out how to pay for their schooling while they are here at DWU. Some students will be able to pay at the beginning of each semester or some may need a payment plan – we will all work for the same goal – to pay each semester before the next semester begins. “

She is originally from Parkston and considers the "DWU family" the best family around. You will usually find Carol taking tickets and cheering on the DWU Tigers at sporting events
