Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan candidates
named at DWU
MITCHELL, S.D. – Ten Dakota Wesleyan University students have been
selected by their classmates as candidates for Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan,
the highest honor given to students in their senior year at the institution.

Candidates for the 81st Miss Wesleyan are Heather Love, Norfolk, Neb.;
Kelsey Miller, Belle Fourche; April Teel, Stickney; Danielle Richardson,
Wichita, Kan.; Kelsie Nebelsick, Canistota; and Melissa Tafoya, Pueblo,
Colo.

Candidates for the 72nd Scotchman are Kirk Byrd, Murdo; Patrick Ryan,
St. Charles, Ill.; Derric Ludens, Geddes; Kyle Schoenfish, Scotland.
A committee comprised of students, staff, administrators and faculty
will select a Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan. Candidates for Scotchman and
Miss Wesleyan are judged on academics, character and overall contribution
to the university. The Scotchman and Miss Wesleyan Banquet will be at
6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, in the Sherman Center.
