Spring concert set for April 22

MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan will host its spring concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in the Sherman Center. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Highlanders will perform more jazz for this concert, including “Blackbird,” “God Only Knows” and “Acapella in Acapulco.”

The choir will present three pieces and the band will perform four with the finale, “The Promise of Living,” performed together. Scott Muntefering, of Tripp, will also perform a featured trumpet solo during the band’s performance of “Prayer of St. Gregory” and “Concert Etude.”

Graduating seniors in the choir this year include Kelsey Miller, Belle Fourche; Trisha Schleich, Mitchell; and April Teel, of Stickney.
