Preacher Moss to come to DWU

MITCHELL — Social commentary has never been so funny.

Preacher Moss, a writer for “The Damon Wayans Show” and “Saturday Night Live,” will present the “End of Racism” Comedy Tour from 8 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, in the Sherman Center.

The Dakota Wesleyan Multicultural Committee, Student Activities Board, student life department and TRiO will present the event to kick off the celebration of Black History month. The event is free and open to the public.

Described as one the best comedy-lecture performances on the college circuit today, “End of Racism” and Preacher Moss invites those with an enlightened spirit and active conscience to join the “End of Racism” Comedy Tour. Preacher Moss is the new prototype of comedian. He is charismatic and dynamic, but does not have to demand great attention or time because his audiences come to cooperatively listen, laugh and in “special” moments, reflect. With his insight on “racial understanding vs. racial interaction” he has quickly become the funniest social commentator on the college scene today.

“Understanding diversity and multiculturalism requires that we eliminate or reduce the anxiety of our ignorance and how to speak honestly when we can't.” – Preacher Moss

“Delivering some of the most important things you'll ever hear about diversity, he gives you the uncut truth and boy is it funny the way he does it. He’s absolutely unforgettable!” – Damon Wayans, Actor/Writer

“How often does it happen you can have a comedy performance where the audience comes out feeling like better people? His pieces on affirmative action, the N-word, and anxiety between races are pure classics.” – Darrell Hammond, Saturday Night Live
