DWU crowns beanie king, queen

MITCHELL — DWU freshmen Jesse Elward and Taylor Piper, both of Mitchell, were selected Monday night to serve as beanie queen and king for the 2010 homecoming festivities.

Other candidates for king were Francois Barnaud, Spearfish; Skyler Eriksen, Presho; Kyle Hoisington, Britton; and Chase Kristensen, Plankinton.

The queen candidates were Ashley Hunt, Murdo; Kylie Perkins, Shenandoah, Iowa; Natalie Roth, Mitchell; and Tiffany Sharp, Brighton, Colo.
