Arel MoodieArel Moodie, widely known as “America’s Top Young Speaker,” and recently named one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 30 Entrepreneurs in America Under 30.  Arel is an award-winning entrepreneur, published writer, and professional speaker. Arel has been featured in USA Today, Essence, Young Money Magazine, INC., BusinessWeek, ABC, NBC, the New York Times, and Fox News affiliates, and is the best-selling author of “Your Starting Point for Student Success.”  The prestigious St. Gallen Symposium in Switzerland named Arel as one of the 100 future business leaders in the world. 

From starting his life on welfare in the projects of Brooklyn, N.Y., to starting three businesses, Arel shows students how to proactively create the life of their dreams.

As a professional speaker, he has spoken to more than 85,000 students in 43 states and three countries. It’s no wonder why he is named one of the “Country's Top Generation Y Leaders”.  Arel is also featured in the No. 1 New York Times Bestselling book “Who's Got Your Back?” Always the entertainer, he likes to dance and has opened for the Grammy Award winning R&B group “112.” and at the Madison Square Garden.

 
 

Brittany RoseBrittany Rose made her dreams into a reality when she started her first company, More Than Cheer, as a sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University.  More Than Cheer is a recreational sports company that creates cheerleading and dance programs for ages 5 to 18+.  Brittany has been featured in publications such as USA Today, U.S. News, Richmond Bizsense, and Under30CEO.com.

Brittany currently holds the position of United States Ambassador for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards and strives to be a living example of what she teaches others.  She coaches, speaks, and writes about making dreams into realities.  Brittany has a passion for teaching other young people how to live a life of passion, inspiration, and true freedom.  Brittany is an advocate for the empowerment of young people through entrepreneurship, personal development, and healthy living. 

 
 

Dr. Heidi NeckDr. Heidi Neck is an Associate Professor and the Jeffry A. Timmons Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, where she teaches entrepreneurship at the MBA and executive levels.  Dr. Neck speaks and teaches internationally on cultivating the entrepreneurial mindset.  Her research interests include innovation & creativity, social entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship education.  Dr. Neck is Faculty Director of Babson’s Symposia for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) and Modules for Entrepreneurship Education (MEE)  – programs designed to further develop faculty from around the world in the of art and craft of teaching entrepreneurship.  Recognized for her contributions to innovation in teaching and curriculum development, she’s received several national awards and has published numerous book chapters, research monographs, and refereed articles. In addition to her academic work, Neck’s professional experience includes consulting and training with organizations on building entrepreneurial capacity.   She earned her Ph.D. in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior to earning her Ph.D. she worked for The Dow Chemical Company. 

 
 

Dustin PrattDustin Pratt, founder of Solid Rock Clothing LLC, is originally from Watertown South Dakota. He recently graduated from the University of South Dakota with his Masters in Business Administration and was the winner of Governor Round’s 2010 Giant Vision Student Competition. He was also the youngest individual named in Prairie Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40. He was heavily involved in entrepreneurship during his undergraduate and graduate years at USD as president of the Entrepreneurship Team and later teaching assistant to the Entrepreneurship Professor. Dr. Lisa Bryan. He currently works full time at Avalon Capital Group, the wholly owned private investment firm of Ted Waitt, as a financial analyst.


 
 

Don JorgensenDon Jorgensen, a Parker native, graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. His first radio gig took him to Winner, working as news and farm director for KWYR AM Country 1260 and FM Magic 93. This was only the beginning of his career in broadcasting. Later he took a job at 1140 KSOO AM in Sioux Falls and served as the assistant news director.

He made the switch from radio to television in 1990, when he joined the KELO TV news team. Jorgensen has served in various capacities at KELO, including anchor of Good Morning KELOLAND, helping to initiate After Nine, and then news anchor for Midday in KELOLAND.

Josh Aberson is a South Dakota native, born and raised in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Lincoln High School and then Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business, German, and international studies. He also has a Master’s degree in recording arts from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Phoenix, Ariz. Post graduation, Josh spent a few years living and working on the West Coast with a career in the music recording industry.

In 2008, he returned to his Sioux Falls roots to develop his entrepreneurial aspirations. In the summer of 2011 he launched Green Acre Real Estate, a boutique real estate company located in downtown Sioux Falls. This a tech-minded and consumer-focused company developed around thinking outside the box through new and innovative strategies to provide clients with the highest level of value in the industry. In September 2011, Josh also opened South Dakota's first co-working space called Meso. Meso provides a fun community office environment for freelance-, independent- and mobile-based companies and workers. Within four months of operation Meso has grown to almost 30 members with companies based all around the United States with plans to expand the to the greater Midwest.

He now lives in downtown Sioux Falls with his wife of five years, Christie, and their Wheaten Terrier, Winston.

 
 

Royce McDaniel originated from Memphis, Tenn., and moved to Logan, Utah, when he was 14. There he fell in love with the mountains, snow and enjoying the outdoors on his skateboard, snowboard and bike. At 17 he began dreaming of riding his BMX bike in the winter. Fast-forward 12 years and his dream started becoming a reality. After winning the South Dakota State University IDEA competition in February 2010 as an undergraduate mechanical engineering student and placing third in The Governor’s Giant Vision Student Venture Competition in 2011, Royce continued to progress to his goal of launching Nism. With a patent pending, along with funding from investors and solid support from his business coaches, professors and family, Nism will soon take the ski-bike industry by storm.
