Objective
To recognize an alumnus/alumna who has demonstrated outstanding service to individuals, community and/or society.

Criteria

• Graduate of DWU
• A person who exemplifies the values of sacrifice and service.
• A person who makes significant contributions to the lives of individuals, community and/or society.

Information to be submitted for Humanitarian of the Year Award

• Nomination form
• Describe how long, and in what capacity, you have known the nominee.
• Briefly describe the nominee’s outstanding service including significance and impact.
• Provide specific examples of actions taken by the nominee demonstrating the values of sacrifice and service.
• Recommendation letters that support the nominee are very helpful during the selection process; thus we would ask that the nominator request two others to submit letters of recommendation in support of the nomination. List the names and telephone numbers of those contacted to submit letters of recommendation.
  Note: Nominations can be submitted prior to the receipt of recommendation letters.
