Interested in becoming a Tiger? Golfers Set School Record at USF Invite Sioux Falls, S.D.—The Dakota Wesleyan men’s golf team set a new school record with a team score of 289 to win the University of Sioux Falls Tournament at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Wednesday (Oct. 4). Tom Hoek shot a 3-under par 69 to win the individual medalist honors. Teammates Brett Abbotts and Nick Gates both shot 1-under par 71 to tie for second place. Rocky Nelson shot 78 to place 22nd and Judd Morgan had an 83 to round out the scoring for the Tigers. The team score of 289 broke the previous school record of 295 that was set in the Fall of 2004. DWU was just 1-over par as a team. Morningside College and Dordt College finished in a tie for second place with team scores of 295. This was the final meet of the fall season for the Tiger men’s golfers. DWU won four of the nine meets that they competed in during the 2006 fall season.
