Wesleyan Winter Classic

The Dakota Wesleyan University soccer programs
hosted the first-ever Wesleyan Winter Classic on its campus
Feb. 20 and 21, and the tournament was a great success. Tiger
men’s head soccer Jeremy Tosaya said that he was extremely
pleased with how everything ran and he said DWU looks forward
to hosting the tournament for many years to come. There were
four separates division – three boys’ divisions
and one girls’ division – and the tournament was
sanctioned by the SDSSA.
In the U19 Boys’ Blue Division Skaadoosh
defeated runner-up Abazabaa for the championship. In the U19
Boys’ White Division championship, Rushmore U15 beat Huron
Storm for the title. In the U19 Girls’ division, Dakota
Alliance SC claimed the championship over Flamingos, and SD
United Arsenal defeated Rushmore U15 Blue for the U16 Boys’
Championship.

Day Tournament
March 20-21, 2010
Entry Deadline: March 5, 2010
There will be one open division (coed teams allowed). Teams of
four field players and a goal keeper will be guaranteed at least
three games (38 minutes).
Accepted teams will be notified via email. Direct questions to
