DWU Wresters Compete Against Tough Field at UNK

Kearney, Neb. — The Dakota Wesleyan University wrestling team took on some of the best competition in NCAA Division I, II and NAIA at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Invitational in Kearney, Neb., on Saturday at the UNK Health and Sports Center.

Several Tiger wrestlers won their opening match of the day and advanced into the quarterfinals. However, no DWU wrestlers won their quarterfinal matches or placed in the top sixth.

Andrew Leggott (125), Jordan Harer (133), Thomas Konechne (149), Ryan Erhardt (165) and Myles Ulmer all won two matches.

The Tigers will now be off until after Christmas break. The Tigers, who are 3-1 in duals this year, will return to action in 2007.
