Nov. 1, 2006 Three Tigers Named All-GPAC in Women’s Soccer
Sioux City, Iowa — Three members of the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer team received honorable mention All-GPAC honors on Wednesday (Nov. 1) when the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference all-conference teams were announced. Senior forward Jessica Braun, freshman midfielder Molly O’Brien join freshman goalkeeper Danielle Richardson on the honorable mention list. Braun finished the season with two goals and three assists. The St. Paul, Minn., native scored 13 goals in her two year career at DWU. O’Brien tied for the team lead with three goals on the season. She also led the team with three assists. The Gillette, Wyo., native also spent one game as the goalkeeper where she recorded 16 saves and allowed just one goal. Richardson played 13 games as the goalkeeper for the Tigers. She set the DWU record with 124 total saves on the season. Richardson allowed an average of 2.67 goals per game. The Wichita, Kan., native was the goalie in the Tigers two wins on the season. The Tigers finished the 2006 season with a 2-15-1 overall record and a 2-9-1 record in the GPAC. |
