Index of Sports Press Releases Nov. 12, 2006 Talley Leads Tigers to Big Win Over Jamestown Jamestown, N.D. — Kevin Talley poured in 32 points, including six 3-pointers as the Tigers picked up a key 75-71 road win over Jamestown College on Saturday night (Nov. 11) in Jamestown, N.D. DWU defeated Valley City State University, 64-59, on Friday night in Valley City, N.D. The Tigers are now a perfect 5-0 to start the 2006-07 season. Against Jamestown, the game was tied 28-28 at halftime, but Talley put the team on his shoulders to lead DWU to a big road win over a quality opponent. He was a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line to help seal the win. Jesse Block added 12 points and Preston Broughton had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds for DWU. Block had a very good weekend, scoring 12 against Jamestown, and leading the Tigers with 19 points on 8-11 shooting in the win over Valley City. Talley had 12 and Broughton had 10 in the win over VCSU. The Tigers struggled with turnovers in the ugly win over Valley City. DWU turned the ball over 27 times against the tough pressure defense. The Tigers attempted only 39 field goal attempts. Dakota Wesleyan will be back at home on Tuesday (Nov. 14) when they host Nebraska Christian College. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Corn Palace.
