DWU 7th in GPAC All-Sports Standings

Sioux City, Iowa —Dakota Wesleyan University ranks seventh in the Great Plains Athletic Conference All-Sports Trophy race at the conclusion of the 2006 fall sports season. The Tiger athletic teams have earned 46 points in the seven sports that are completed.

Nebraska Wesleyan University lead the standings with 72.5 points after claiming team titles in men’s and women’s cross country and women’s soccer. Morningside College is second with 66.5 points, while Hastings College is third with 65.5 points after earning titles in men’s soccer and volleyball.

Other fall championships went to University of Sioux Falls in football, and Dakota Wesleyan in women’s golf.

DWU was 12th out of the 13 teams in the final All-Sports standings at the conclusion of the 2005-06 season. Nebraska Wesleyan is the defending GPAC All-Sports Trophy Champion.
