Four DWU Wrestlers Place at Auggie Brute Open

Minneapolis, Minn. — Four Dakota Wesleyan University wrestlers placed individually at the Auggie Brute/Adidas Open at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday (Nov. 18).

Freshman Jordan Harer was the top Tiger placer going 2-1 to take home second place at 133 pounds.

Freshmen Andy Anderson and Myles Ulmer both placed fourth place for the Tigers. Anderson went 2-2 at 174 pounds, while Ulmer went 1-2 at 197.

The other Tiger place winner was freshman Laird Klippenstein at 165 pounds. Klippenstein finished 3-1 to win fifth place.

No Tigers qualified for the NAIA National Tournament.

The DWU wrestlers will now be off for the Thanksgiving break and will return to the mats on Nov. 30 when they host Northern State University and the University of Sioux Falls in a pair of duals in Fosness Arena in the Christen Family Wellness Center.
