Fitzgerald Named GPAC
Player-of-the-Week

Sioux City, Iowa —Dakota Wesleyan University guard Colby Fitzgerald has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week. He received the honor for games played Nov. 26-Dec. 3.

Fitzgerald, a junior from Dell Rapids, S.D., averaged 28.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game as the Tigers posted GPAC wins over Dordt College and Doane College and a non-conference victory over York College. In a double-overtime win at Doane, he scored a career high 34 points. He scored 23 points against York and had 27 points in the win against Dordt.

Dakota Wesleyan has won six straight games to improve their overall record to 8-2, while their GPAC record is 3-0. The Tigers will host Northwestern on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Corn Palace.
