Two Tigers Named All-GPAC in Women’s Soccer

Sioux City, Iowa — Two members of the Dakota Wesleyan University women’s soccer team received All-GPAC honorable mention honors on Thursday (Nov. 1) when the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference all-conference teams were announced. Freshmen midfielders Ruth Pereira and Ellie Peterson were on the honorable mention list.

Pereira had two goals and two assists on the season. The Houston, Texas native led the Tigers in assists.

Peterson scored three goals as a true freshman this season. The Fort Collins, Colo., native led the Tigers with 21 shots on goal.

The Tigers finished the 2007 season with a 2-16 overall record and a 1-11 record in the GPAC.
