Nov. 2, 2007 Two Men’s Soccer Players Earn All-GPAC
Sioux City, Iowa — Two members of the Dakota Wesleyan University men’s soccer team received All-GPAC honors on Thursday (Nov. 1) when the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference all-conference teams were announced. Sophomore forward Juan Baltazar was named All-GPAC Second Team and sophomore defender Ryan Perry was named All-GPAC honorable mention. Baltazar led the Tigers with eight goals in 14 games during the 2007 season. He also had three assists. For his career he holds the school record with 28 career goals. The Elsa, Texas native was an All-GPAC First Team selection in 2006. Perry started 14 games this season for the Tigers. The Rockwall, Texas native was a key member of the DWU defense this year and started 15 games as a freshman. The Tigers finished the 2007 season with a 5-10 overall record and a 4-8 record in the GPAC. |
