Nov. 7, 2007 Three Tiger Women’s Golfers Earn All-GPAC
Sioux City, Iowa – Three Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golfers have been named to the 2007 Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Golf All-Conference team. Cassidy Potter, Abby Wheeling and Kelli Baseley all were named to the All-GPAC squad. Potter, a sophomore from Gillette, Wyo., placed third at the 2007 GPAC Championships. Potter won two tournaments in the fall season and placed in the top five in six different events. She earned GPAC Player-of-the-Week honors once this fall. Wheeling, a freshman from Indianapolis, Ind., placed fifth at the GPAC Championships. Wheeling placed in the top five in six events and had a stroke average of 83 during the fall season. Baseley, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, S.D., placed seventh at the GPAC Championships. She won the season opening DWU Invitational and finished in the top five individually six times. Baseley also was an All-GPAC performer in 2006. The Dakota Wesleyan women placed second at the 2007 GPAC Championships snapping their streak of five straight GPAC team titles. The Tigers qualified for the NAIA Region III Championships which will be held April 28-29 at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
