April 15, 2008 Women Golfers Win Nebraska Wesleyan Spring Invitational LINCOLN, NEB. — The Dakota Wesleyan University women’s golf team shot a two-day total of 692 to win the Nebraska Wesleyan Spring Invitational on Sunday and Monday (April 13-14) at Highlands Golf Course and Mahoney Golf Course. The Tigers were in second place to GPAC school the University of Sioux Falls after day one. DWU dropped 32 strokes off its day-one score on day two to win the event. USF finished in second place (696), and Dana ended the two-day event in third place (709). Cassidy Potter led DWU with a second-place finish. Potter shot 84 on day one and 82 on day two. Abby Wheeling finished in fourth place with a 168, and Kelli Baseley shot a 175 for eighth place. Brittany Hofer of USF was the individual medalist with a score of 162. The Tigers are back in action on April 18 when they participate in the Northwestern College Invitational.
