Jan. 2, 2008 Edgington Signs with DWU Women’s Golf
MITCHELL, S.D. — Dakota Wesleyan head women’s golf coach Adam Anderson has announced that Mackenzie Edgington has signed a letter of intent to compete for the Tigers during the 2008-09 season. Edgington, a senior at Fairmont High School, was a five-year letterwinner at Fairmont, Minn. She was a team captain her junior and senior seasons, and led her team in birdies, pars and putting her junior year. “Mackenzie is the type of student-athlete any coach would like to have on the team. She is hard working, committed and a true team player,” Anderson said. “Furthermore, she has a very strong family and spiritual life, and that will be a wonderful influence on our team.” Edgington was a member of the Fairmont volleyball team and was a two-year letterwinner in volleyball. She also lettered in Math League her junior and senior year. Edgington is the daughter of Todd and Lisa Edgington from Fairmont. “Mackenzie is a leader in her school, as evidenced by her high test scores, GPA and positions of influence,” Anderson said. “We are very excited to have her join our Tiger golf family.” She becomes the second player to sign with the Tigers in the 2008-09 recruiting class. The DWU women’s golf team is ranked No. 23 in the NAIA Women’s Golf Fall Rating released on Dec. 7. |
