Mar. 18, 2008 Parkston Standout Signs with DWU Women’s Basketball
MITCHELL, S.D. — Dakota Wesleyan University head women’s basketball coach Aaron Kahl has announced that Maggie Malloy has signed a letter of intent to compete for the Tigers during the 2008-09 season. Malloy, a senior at Parkston High School, was a South Dakota All-State Second-Team selection her sophomore and junior seasons. She is a five-time Little Missouri Valley and Southeastern South Dakota All-Conference selection. Maggie scored 1,940 career points as a Trojan at Parkston and is the Parkston all-time leading scorer. “We are excited to have Maggie join our program. She had an outstanding high school career, and we are thrilled to add an athlete of her caliber to our team,” Kahl said. “Maggie has a chance to be a very good GPAC player, and it will be exciting to watch her develop.” Malloy was also a letterwinner in track and volleyball at Parkston High School. She will participate in the 21st Annual 3-Class Shootout as a member of the Class “A” girls’ team on March 22 in Salem. Malloy is the daughter of Robert and Kristine Malloy from Parkston. She becomes the third player to sign with the Tigers in the 2008-09 recruiting class. |
