DWU Individual Girls’ Basketball camp canceled

MITCHELL, S.D. – Dakota Wesleyan University women’s basketball coach Aaron Kahl announced this week that he has canceled the DWU Individual Girls Basketball camp due to a lack of registrations. The camp was originally scheduled June 8-11 for girls in grades 3-8 at the Christen Family Recreation/Wellness Center on the Dakota Wesleyan campus.

Kahl said that Dakota Wesleyan would be unable to put on a quality camp for those who have already registered with the small number of campers enrolled and, at this point, he did not expect to receive enough registrations in the next two weeks.

Kahl wanted to thank the campers who signed up for their interest, and he apologizes for the cancelation. He said that all interested players should be encouraged to sign up next summer when DWU will try to resurrect the individual camp.

The Tiger Girls’ Basketball Team camp, scheduled for June 6-7, will still be held as scheduled with no changes.
