Wade Druin

Since 2009, Wade Druin has been an associate professor and the Business Department chairman at Dakota Wesleyan University. Prior to coming to DWU, he was an assistant professor of business and the director of both the Business Research Bureau and the East Asian Institute at the University of South Dakota.

Druin has had significant entrepreneurial experience, having owned several businesses and consulted numerous entrepreneurs as a director of the Small Business Development Center.

Since beginning at DWU, Druin has led a student group to China and plans to take another class to Europe in spring 2012.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Juris Doctorate and graduate of the post-doctoral AACSB Bridge Program at the University of Florida in management and marketing.


David Mitchell

David Mitchell, Ph.D.

Dave Mitchell joined the Wesleyan faculty in 1972 and is one of the longest serving professors at the university. He has been married to his wife, Ann, for more than 40 years and they are the parents to two grown daughters. The couple also has a granddaughter and a grandson. Ann taught part-time in the DWU education department from 1973 until 2002. Dr. Mitchell is involved in a variety of community activities, including politics, the United Methodist Church and fund raising for several groups. Before beginning his academic career, he was a system analyst for Procter and Gamble.

Jerry Luckett

Jerry Luckett joined the Wesleyan faculty in 1989. She has four grown children: Travis and Trevor Bechen and Teri and Tricia Luckett; all are graduates of DWU. She also has three grandsons. Jerry has been the secretary for the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Committee for 20 years, has been with the Make A Wish Foundation for over 20 years, and is a timer for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Before coming to DWU, Jerry lived on a farm, operated a day care and received a degree from Mitchell Technical Institute. Jerry serves as the adviser for Phi Beta Lambda and is the head cheerleading coach.
