Computer Requirements
Multimedia Majors will be required to have Macintosh laptop computers with Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and Virtual PC with DWU’s standard PC programs installed. The programs listed above are reasonably priced as Education Versions and are the same programs as the normal professional versions. Graduates will find these programs invaluable no matter where they begin their careers and will be able to upgrade, at a reasonable price, to the new, full professional versions.

MultiMedia Major
Dakota Wesleyan University MultiMedia graduates will be prepared for a variety of professional and allied positions in the media, broadcasting, video production and post-production, computer graphics, publishing, education and business. They will know how to produce graphics using programs like Adobe’s® Illustrator and Photoshop. They will know how to develop and produce interactive CDs using programs like Macromedia’s® Director. They will know how to concept, script, shoot and edit video productions using the popular Apple® Final Cut Pro and Adobe’s® After Effects. These skills will make them valuable employees in many Media businesses but also in other types of businesses and education.
