Jack Mortenson was an adjunct instructor in the computers and multimedia department for four years before joining the faculty full-time during the fall 2004 semester. Jack has worked for the past 20 years as an independent producer of videos in a business he runs with his wife, Mary. He also taught business courses at National American University in Sioux Falls for 10 years. Jack holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Sioux Falls. Like his wife, he loves to travel and is active in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where they both sing in the choir. Together they have hosted several high school foreign exchange students in their home and placed many others. Their “sons and daughters” have come from Sweden, Netherlands, Germany and the Ukraine. Jack is a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy and has traveled to Asia, Europe and Africa, and hopes to one day get to Australia and South America. However, he says, he has no desire to visit Antarctica.
Linda McEntee has served as an adjunct instructor in the computers and multimedia department at Dakota Wesleyan since 1999. When she’s not on campus here, she can be found across town at MTI’s Business Industry Training Office where she has taught since 1992. Linda earned her bachelor’s degree in management information systems in 1989 from Augustana College in Sioux Falls. She has begun work on her master’s degree in technology for education and training at the University of South Dakota. Linda and her husband, Jeff, are the parents of two children, Tyler and Karlie. When she is not working or playing on the computer, Linda says she loves to spend time with her family and enjoys an escape into a good murder-mystery novel. She has served since 2001 as a leader to a troop of 14 Girl Scouts. Something few people know about Linda is that she appeared on the TV game show “Family Feud” in 1990 and 1992. |
