The behavioral sciences major is an interdisciplinary program that
provides students with a strong foundation in psychology and sociology.
A behavioral sciences major prepares students for careers in leadership
and service that involve understanding and working with individuals
and groups. General knowledge in these fields is augmented by courses
that stress the historical, theoretical and research strategies appropriate
for the understanding and application of the behavioral sciences.
Students majoring in the behavioral sciences complete a core program
of 18 required credits and select a minimum of 15 elective credits
in the behavioral sciences. A concentration in psychology is also
available.
