The Criminal Justice Program at Dakota Wesleyan University began in 1993 and has grown to be one of the largest programs at the University.

Our Mission in the Criminal Justice Department at Dakota Wesleyan University, as developed through academic programs and faculty and student research is to-

1.	Provide students with a broad bases liberal arts education that represents the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth.
2.	Prepare students for careers in a wide variety of criminal justice professions, including law enforcement, corrections, and the courts.
3.	Act as a force for positive change within state and national justice agencies.
