The Criminal Justice Department aspires
to: |
| (a) |
educate students about the criminal justice system
through comprehensive and intellectually stimulating courses and
experiences; |
| (b) |
engage students in a broad liberal arts setting where an interdisciplinary
approach to knowledge is stressed; |
| (c) |
teach students to think critically, and communicate effectively,
about diverse criminal justice issues and viewpoints; and
|
| (d) |
prepare students for careers in criminal justice, including
law enforcement, court services and corrections, as well as post-baccalaureate
study. |
