Option1
Add it by making a correction to your FAFSA online.

You will need: 1) Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) that you registered for with the Department of Education and, 2) the password that you used when you did your original FAFSA online.

1. Go to the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.ed.gov
2. Select "Make Corrections to a Processed FAFSA" (located in the lower right column on the box labeled "FAFSA Follow-up"
3. Follow the instructions as listed
4. You will add the school code in Step Six of the FAFSA

Make sure you get to the confirmation page; otherwise, you have not successfully added DWU's school code.
  

Option 2
Fax a request to the Department of Education at 1-877-264-9664.

You will need to list the following information on the fax:

1. Your name
2. Your social security number
3. This statement: “Please add the following school code to my 2008-2009 FAFSA: Dakota Wesleyan University (003461) Mitchell, SD 57301
4. Your signature and date

Option 3
Contact DWU with information from your Student Aid Report, and we add our school code for you.

Your Student Aid Report is the results from your FAFSA from the Department of Education that was e-mailed or mailed to your home address.

1. Your Social Security number
2. Your last name
3. Your highest transaction number of your Student Aid Report*
4. DRN (this 4-digit number is located on your Student Aid Report*)
5. Your housing preference (on-campus, off-campus or off-campus with parent)

If you do NOT have your Student Aid Report, you can request a new one from the Department of Education by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-4-333-243.)
