Vacation
Vacation
The purpose of vacation leave is to provide time off from work with pay for rest and personal convenience.

All regular staff employees who work half-time or more year-round are entitled to vacation leave with pay. Accumulation of vacation leave will begin with the first day of employment. Employees who work less-than-full-time accrue at a prorated rate of the accrual amounts indicated in the schedules below.

Employees should arrange vacation leave with their supervisors as far in advance as possible.

There is no pay in lieu of annual vacation leave, except in the case of separation.

If a holiday occurs during an employee's vacation, it is not counted as leave.

Employees should request permission from their supervisors and turn in an Absence Slip before their vacation begins.

Please see the Employee Handbook, or contact your supervisor or Human Resources for more information.
