Assistant Director of Residential Life

Dakota Wesleyan University is seeking an enthusiastic and student focused live-in Assistant Director of Residential Life. This 12-month position is responsible for a comprehensive student development program for a first year student residence hall. Responsibilities include building relationships with students, supervising and training 15 student employees, and encouraging community development.

The Assistant Director of Residential Life will enforce university policies, serve as a judicial officer and support and encourage residential programming, Other responsibilities include advising the residence hall council and coordinating summer housing of students and other camp/conference groups. This position will also serve as a residential talent coordinator encouraging strengths based development on campus. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills and a demonstrated commitment to the mission of DWU and our values of learning, leadership, faith, and service.

Compensation includes a $20,000 base annual salary, apartment, meal plan, and full benefits. Qualifications include a Masters Degree in Counseling or Student Affairs, at least one year experience as a Resident Assistant, and strong leadership ability. Individuals currently enrolled in a masters program will be considered.

Web Programmer

Dakota Wesleyan University is seeking to fill the position of Web Programmer. The Web Programmer will provide structured development, sound design implementation, and documented maintenance of application code for programming projects, which include any university web sites, departmental applications, online campaigns and online learning that interface with backend databases. Additional duties include advanced support for workstation software, operating systems and network and telecommunication infrastructure.

Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and have a demonstrated commitment to the mission of DWU and our values of learning, leadership, faith, and service.

Qualifications: A two-year technical degree in a computer related field and 1-2 years experience preferred. Experience working with the following programs and software required: C#C++, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, ADO, Visual Basic Scripting, SQL, Visual Studio 2003/2005, RDBMS relational database management system (MSSQL Server), Windows Server 2003 including IIS, and SharePoint Server. Experience with Jenzabar’s EX and JICS products and ability to use a report writer a plus.

Golf Graduate Assistant

Dakota Wesleyan University (NAIA) is seeking a Graduate Assistant Golf Coach. This position will be heavily involved with both the men’s and women’s golf teams. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in areas of recruitment, practice organization, tournament management and transportation, fundraising, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. A $1,500 yearly stipend and generous tuition remission applied towards a graduate degree is available.

Softball Graduate Assistant

Dakota Wesleyan University, a NAIA institution, is seeking a Graduate Assistant Softball Coach. This person will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in areas of recruitment, planning and participating in practices, game management and program administration. A stipend and tuition remission towards a graduate degree is available. Candidates with college pitching experience are strongly desired.

A monthly stipend and tuition remission towards a graduate degree is available. Candidates must have experience in the events of throwing or middle/long distance.
