Dakota
Wesleyan recognizes the rich learning experiences that come from internships.
For employers, internships have become an important part of the recruitment
process. For students, internships are an incredible learning opportunity
to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to real-world work experiences.
For colleges, internships are a powerful way to help structure learning
beyond the classroom and to help students make the necessary connections
to the world of work.
Internship opportunities abound in Dakota Wesleyan University’s
many programs. Our students have done internships with:
- the U. S. Department of Justice, the FBI and the Internal Revenue
Service in Washington, DC.;
- countless faith-based non-profit organizations;
- local hospitals and schools;
- corporate fitness and sports centers across the country;
- state and local agencies; and
- various environmental research organizations.
Students have even studied coral in the Caribbean and had
the opportunity to do ground-breaking research in molecular biology.
DWU will help connect students to these experiential opportunities
… and to the future!
The office of internships is located in the Kelley Center
on second floor of Smith Hall.
