Unjoin your computer from the DWU Network Domain

This process should be completed only if you have completed your schooling at DWU and will no longer be using the DWU network. This process removes your computer from the DWU network domain which removes the network login feature. This removes the ability to connect to network drives and printers as well as the Internet on the DWU network.

1. Log into your local account with administrator rights (NOT your DWU account)
2. Download this file: Unjoin.zip
3. Extract this file to the root of your C: drive (c:\).

XP:
1. Click on “Start” -> “Run"
2. Type "cmd" and press enter
Vista:
1. Click on “Start” -> “All Programs"->"Accessories"
2. Right-Click on "Command Prompt"
3. Click on "Run as Administrator"
4. In the command window type "cd\" and press enter
5. Type "unjoin –forreal"
6. You should have a window that looks like this: 
   
7. Press enter.  You should see that it completed successfully.
