Personal Computer requirements*
Please consider the minimum specifications carefully. It is also important
to note that if you want a personal computer that will last your entire
college career, you will need to purchase a computer system that
does more than meet the minimum specifications. Computer software and
hardware are developing at an incredible pace, and as such we review our
specifications each year.
PC:

2.0 GHz or faster processor (Acceptable Processor List)
60 Gigabyte hard drive or larger
CDRW Drive
512 MB (1 GB Highly Recommended)
USB Memory Drive
10/100 Ethernet card (required for some dorm room access to network)
Integrated Wireless 802.11 b/g or Wireless network card and a PCMCIA (PC
Card) slot for wireless network card.

System Requirements
NOTES:
* Systems that do not meet ALL requirements will not be granted network access. Network access
includes access to the Internet, network drives and storage, and network printers. Joining
DWU’s domain will be required to
access any network resources.
**Windows Vista will require a minimum of 1 GB of memory. Certain hardware is
not compatible with Windows Vista. Before upgrading to Vista, please run the
following program to test your hardware for compatibility:

*** OS X versions 10.3 and 10.4 require ADmitMac for network access. This software can be purchased from www.thursby.com for approximately $149 per license.
**** Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) requires specific hardware for installation. Please check the system requirements before upgrading.
