Description and Information
|What is EasyBib?
EasyBib is a citation formatting and management tool provided free of charge to DWU students, faculty, and staff by McGovern Library.
|What citation styles are included in EasyBib?
Currently EasyBib includes MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian styles. Sometime during Spring 2014 EasyBib will add the following citation styles: American Medical Association, American Chemical Society, Council of Science Editors, American Sociological Association, Chicago Author Date and Harvard.
|Do I need to register for EasyBib?
You only need to register if you want to keep and manage your list of citations from session to session.
|Do I still need a style manual?
EasyBib is a useful tool, but as with any citation formatting software program, it is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. To ensure the accuracy of your citations, consult the official style manual for the style you are using (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
How do I use EasyBib?
EasyBib includes a citation tool (both in-text and reference/works cited) as well as a notebook tool to assist students in organizing notes, quotes, and sources. Citations can be uploaded from EBSCOhost (tutorial), ProQuest (tutorial), JSTOR (tutorial) and Gale (tutorial). See the Video tutorial for more information.
