Students completing the CAT minor will be able to serve as a computer
and technology resource person for a school, business or other type
of organization. Students will be able to assist with needs assessment,
resource identification, acquisition and allocation, and systems management
and maintenance.
The computers and technology minor consists of four required core courses
and three electives. The core courses provide students with a solid
foundation of practical skills in using computers and integrating technology,
while the electives afford students the opportunity to pursue individual
interests in specific departments or disciplines.
Students must show competency in CAT 105 (complete CAT 105, pass competency
exams or hold MOS specialist certification) before beginning classes
in the minor.
