LPN-RN, Sioux Falls
Site
General Information
DWU offers an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in nursing
which satisfies the academic requirements necessary for a graduate’s
eligibility to write the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX)
for licensure as a registered nurse. Because this LPN-RN curriculum in
Sioux Falls is a one-year (August – May) program designed to build
on the firm foundation of nursing skills mastered by the licensed practical
nurse (LPN), the goal is to move the student’s knowledge of human
health needs and nursing interventions to a deeper level. In addition,
within this one academic year, the program content is designed to develop
leadership and management of care skills needed by the registered nurse
(RN) in the current healthcare practice setting.
