Basic Parish Nurse Preparation
will be offered online Jan. 6-April 24, 2009

The DWU Department of Nursing will offer the curriculum developed by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center (IPNRC).

The curriculum may be offered through continuing education or as three-credit course at the baccalaureate degree level.

This course focuses on the impact of faith and spirituality on healing and health. Students explore the roles and functions of the faith community/parish nurse.

Prerequisites:
Current RN licensure in state of practice

Cost:
$500 for registrants requesting Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Application for contact hours has been made to CNE-Net, the education division of the North Dakota Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation.
