The foundation strives to improve the quality of life for all by funding organizations in the areas of arts and humanities, health and human services, education, and ecological health in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The John Wesley Award is patterned after the original sculpture that stands at the front of the campus. The cross, flame and seal, created by the late Darryl Patten, is set in a block of Sioux quartzite.
