June 15, 2006 DWU alumnus returns as campus pastor
MITCHELL, S.D. – Brandon Vetter, a 2003 DWU alumnus, began his service as campus pastor on June 6. Vetter earned his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. “We are thrilled to have Brandon and his wife, Vicky, back on campus,” said Gwenda Koch, vice president for campus life. “Brandon’s energy and vision make him a great person to lead the campus ministry program.” “I’m excited to be back at Dakota Wesleyan University to serve as the campus pastor,” said Vetter. “Both my wife and I are graduates of the college and loved our time here. We feel called by God to serve at the college at this point in time, encouraging and challenging students, staff and faculty to a deeper relationship with God in Jesus Christ.” “DWU is unique in the way it offers campus ministry; many colleges have denominational ministries and organizations that serve as the ministry presence,” continued Vetter. “At DWU, however, everything is centralized in one office, resulting in a ministry that has the potential to unify followers of Jesus across denominational lines.” DWU is a private, liberal arts university associated with the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church. |
