June 28, 2006 Opportunity to enroll in entrepreneurship class MITCHELL, S.D. – DWU announces openings in the Finance for Entrepreneurship class for fall 2006. Bryan Hisel, executive director of the Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship, teaches the class that will meet Monday evenings at the Chamber of Commerce office in Mitchell. All are welcome to register for this class; it is not limited to current DWU students and has no prerequisites for registration. Class size is limited to 25. “Finance for Entrepreneurship is a class that is geared for the novice. Absolutely no business prerequisites are required,” says Rhonda Pole, associate director of the Kelley Center. “It is a great class for the beginning entrepreneur as well as those who want to learn about “how to get the money” to do what they want to do.” Class topics include grant writing, basic financial terminology, creating and understanding financial statements, budgeting, working capital, real estate, insurance, taxation, and payroll. Pole encourages those from nonprofits, small business and home-based businesses to enroll. The Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship was launched in 1999 and is named after Rollie Kelley, a 1949 graduate of DWU, who donated $1 million to the university to establish it.
