Jorgenson, O’Laughlin named DWU quarterly winners

Sara Jorgenson and Jeanie O’Laughlin are congratulated by DWU President Bob Duffett.

MITCHELL – Sara Jorgensen and Jeanie O’Laughlin are the winners of the Professional Excellence Award for the third quarter at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Jeanie O’Laughlin, assistant professor of business administration, was cited for her positive attitude and her positive influence on students.

Sara Jorgensen, registrar, was cited for consistently going above and beyond the call of duty to assist the staff, faculty, and students.

The Professional Excellence Award is given three times a year to a faculty and staff member. The quarterly winners are then considered for the year-end awards for faculty and staff.

Winners are given campus recognition, a watch and gift certificate for dinner. The award recognizes employees for “outstanding service, for exemplary commitment to the university and for making a difference in the lives of students.”

The DWU Employee Recognition Committee selects the quarterly winners from nominations submitted by faculty, staff members and students.
