Larson speaks at McGovern Conference

MITCHELL – Paula Larson, 2002 graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, participated on a panel discussion during the 2006 McGovern Conference at DWU in Mitchell.

Larson sat on a panel with Cooper Garnos, state legislator, and Dusty Johnson, public utilities commissioner. The panel was moderated by Donald Simmons, director of the McGovern Center for Leadership and Public Service.

"What impressed me was just how committed Paula is to making a difference," said Simmons. "Hopefully, through the McGovern Center we can help others who have the same goal of service to humankind realize their potential."

Larson is the daughter Dennis and Sheila Larson of Flandreau. She is the coordinator of the state of Tennessee’s used oil recycling program.
