Oct. 18, 2006 DWU students’ footage airing on CNN MITCHELL – Senator George McGovern’s CNN interview taped at DWU’s McGovern Library will air at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Candy Crowley’s hour long documentary on the November election, including the segment shot with Senator McGovern on campus, is scheduled to air at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. (CNN is still firming up the exact time) on Tuesday, Oct. 24. In the ‘rough cut’ edit, CNN used a quick shot that DWU students taped in the library. The Senator’s segment is the second act in the hour. CNN also has some affiliate material of the library dedication which they may use. Students involved in taping the interview were part of Jack Mortenson's MultiMedia I class, which is a part of the computers and multimedia program on campus. The multimedia program offers a major and minor in multimedia and a minor in desktop publishing. The program, only three years old, already has 20 students as majors. Multimedia students use programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Director and Final Cut in making videos and DVDs. For more information about the multimedia program at DWU, contact Jack Mortenson at 995-2678 or jamorten@dwu.edu or visit the online catalog. |
