Student Ministry Council 2007-08 officers announced

MITCHELL – Brandon Vetter, DWU’s campus pastor, announced the Student Ministry Council (SMC) officers for 2007-08.

“I know God is going to do great things through these student leaders next year,” said Vetter. “They are a capable and fun group of students who have a passion for Christ and want to share it with others.”

SMC chair, Amy Price, Marquette, Neb.; secretary and publicity chair, Ali McCormick, Mitchell; treasurer, Erin Haber, Sioux Falls; community ministry student coordinator, Katrin DeJong, Winner; compassion ministry student coordinators, Cassie DeRocher, Westfield, Iowa, and Sharlyse Stanley, Mitchell; devotion ministry student coordinator, Kelsey Miller, Belle Fourche; worship ministry student coordinators, Robbie Salmonson, Plankinton, and Kelsie Nebelsick, Canistota; and justice ministry student coordinator, Charity Kear, Mandan, N.D.

The SMC is a standing committee of the Student Association Senate, works with the office of campus ministry to fulfill its mission, and aids the campus pastor in meeting the ministry needs of the campus community.
