Aug. 28, 2007 Annual food drive a success MITCHELL – DWU students collected more than 2,300 pounds of food from community members during the annual Freshman Food Drive on Aug. 26. “Thanks to the generosity of the Mitchell community, we collected over a ton of food in two hours,” said Clarence Pederson, event organizer. More than 200 freshmen, resident assistants, staff and faculty participated in the drive. DWU is a private, liberal arts university associated with the Dakotas Conference of the United Methodist Church.
