Holiday showcase at DWU

MITCHELL – DWU will showcase local and regional authors and artists from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 in the McGovern Library on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan University.

The following Dakota Wesleyan authors will be on hand to sign their work.

• Jim McLaird, Calamity Jane
• Sean Flynn, Chief: Marine Corps Warrior
• Don Simmons, George McGovern: A Political Life, a Political Legacy and Confederate Settlements in British Honduras

Regional authors will include:

• Bernie Hunhoff, South Dakota Curiosities
• Jon Lauck, Daschle vs. Thune: Anatomy of a High-Plains Senate Race
• Tom Kilian, Old Days on the Prairie
• Multiple authors, On the Homefront
• Patrick Hicks, The Kiss That Saved My Life
• Carl Edeburn, Sturgis: The Story of the Rally

The event will also feature pianist Diane Sundstrom’s new CD and pottery by Cheri Ramsdell. There will be Tanzanian baskets, beaded jewelry and weavings, and the DWU Campus Bookstore will offer a 15 percent discount on clothing and accessories.
