DWU graduate studies program has new director MITCHELL – Don Watt, vice president for academic affairs and dean, announced that Ruth Haidle, Ed.D., will serve as the director of the graduate studies office at DWU. Greg McCurry, assistant director of admissions, will serve as coordinator of graduate admissions. “DWU has a long tradition of graduating quality preK-12 educators,” said Haidle. “This program is the next step for them and for all teachers in the region.” Haidle earned her doctorate in educational administration from the University of South Dakota and her master’s degree in science education from Eastern Kentucky University. She has been an educator throughout her career, as a classroom teacher, an administrator and a college professor. Wesleyan offers a master’s degree in education with concentrations in curriculum and instruction, secondary certification, and K-12 school principal endorsement. A fourth concentration is in the final stages of development, and it will focus on administration in higher education. With questions or for assistance with the graduate enrollment process, contact McCurry at 605-995-2650 or grmccurr@dwu.edu. |
