DWU graduate studies program accepting applications for fall term

MITCHELL – The application deadline for DWU’s graduate program is Aug. 17.

“We’re looking forward to accepting a new group of graduate students,” said Ruth Haidle, director of graduate studies. “Regional educators are encouraged to enroll, as we offer classes geared for the working professional.”

Wesleyan offers a master’s degree in education with concentrations in curriculum and instruction, secondary certification, and K-12 school principal endorsement. A fourth concentration is in the final stages of development, and it will focus on administration in higher education. All faculty in the master’s program have earned doctorates.

The following classes begin Aug. 27: Literacy for All Students, Foundations of Higher Education, College and University Curriculum, The Art of Science and Teaching, Current Trends in Assessment and Evaluation, and Action Research: Methodology.

The master’s degree program is designed to be completed in two years. Financial aid is available to qualifying students. Non-degree-seeking students interested in taking graduate level classes are encouraged to contact the office of graduate studies.

With questions or for assistance with the graduate enrollment process, contact Greg McCurry, coordinator of graduate admissions, at 605-995-2665 or grmccurr@dwu.edu.
